The poetry of earth is never dead

It is a theme-based recitation competition with a little twist.
The participants are to recite a combination of two poems in two different languages. They will be judged on the basis of how well they recite and also on their ability to switch between the two languages seamlessly.
They will be evaluated on their ability to fit two poems under the same theme and make it look like one performance.

RULES AND REGULATIONS :

THEME: LOVE POEMS

  • Only two teams/ participants from each college
  • The participants can perform solo or in duos.
  • Out of the two languages in which they choose to recite one has to be English.
  • They may recite any famous poet’s poems or poems of their own composition. In each case, they must mention it clearly in the beginning of their performance when they introduce their act.
  • They can make it a musical recital to make it interesting. They are free to arrange for their musical aid.
  • The host college may provide a guitar player on request to collaborate with the participants (this has to be informed by the participant at the time of registration).
  • In case the participants wish to use a track to play in the background of their recitation, they are required to submit it 2 hrs before the performance to (Aryendra Khan).
  • Maximum time for each solo performer or duo would be 5 minutes.

This game is an interesting way to learn & remember new words by the players. In this game players have to find the opposite words ( antonym) of the given words. Opposite word will always start from the single / common letter.

For example:
Good – Bad
Coward – Brave

  • Each team to have only three members
  • The competition will have two rounds.
  • (i) First round will be of 6 min ( only the best three teams will get selected).
    (ii) Final round will be of 4 min ( between the best three teams ).

  • Abusive language is strictly prohibited

TELL TALE(Kalyan Roy – 7217767928/ Sejal Upadhyay – 9641893426)

“In the end we all become stories”

It is an extempore competition with a difference. It will be a test of the resourcefulness, quick thinking ability and creativity of the participants. The participants are required to tell stories making use of the hints provided on the spot.

RULES AND REGULATIONS :

  • Only two teams from each college
  • Contestants will participate in teams of two
  • Five clues will be provided on spot
  • Each story-teller duo will be given two minutes to think and form their story and three
    minutes to narrate it
  • They can choose between Hindi or English as their language of narration
  • They can add sound effects using their cell phones, voice modulation, hand and body movements to make their narration interesting
  • The story tellers can use literary references, movie plot lines, or any other sources known to them in framing their story

VOCAB-o-GRAM(Rejbin chhetri – 8158093520/ Vanshika Agarwal – 7001717934)

This game is to instill spell- check quality among the students/ players. Word-pairs given will have one with incorrect spelling. Players have to identify the correct spelling.
