CBSE conducts board exams for class 10 and class 12 students every year. As per the CBSE norms, the overall examination for both class 10 and class 12 is divided into two categories – Practical Exam and Theory Exam. Practical exams are internally evaluated and held at the respective schools. Whereas, the theory exam or, the main examination is externally evaluated by CBSE authorities. Contrary to the practical examination, the center for the main exam is decided by the board itself. The practical exam is usually held before the written or the main examination.
The dates for practical examination is formally published on the CBSE website on 4th November 2019. The newly released notification by the board has instructed all the CBSE affiliated schools to conduct practical examinations and project evaluations within the designated dates. The date announced by the CBSE board for the practical examination is from 1st January 2020 to 7th February 2020.
