CBSE Result 2025 Class 12: Passing Criteria & Grading System
To pass the CBSE Class 12 Result 2025, students have to secure a minimum of 33% marks in each subject (theory & practical combined). CBSE follows a 9-point grading system, where A1 is the highest grade and E indicates failure.

According to the CBSE board, if a student fails in one or more subjects in their class 12 board exam, they are placed in a compartment category which allows them to sit for the supplementary exam. The student is declared to pass if they qualify for the compartment subjects.
