As the World Cup carnival comes to an end with a united Germany lifting the cup for the first time after five weeks of breath-taking action. Something to be taken from Brazil, 2014 are:-

4. ENGLAND PLAYERS ARE STILL OVER-RATED:
England are not as bad as the results at the world cup suggest. But even in this lovely period about how awful English football is, it is still assumed that players who have done well for big clubs in the club league are of world cup standard.
5. GOALKEEPERS HAVE A NEW STATUS:
The surprise of the 2014 world cup top players list so far has been the keepers who created a niche for themselves with acrobatic saves and a daredevilry attitude.
6. 90-MINUTES CAN BE A LIFE-CHANGING SCENARIO:
Relatively unknown players before the world cup started became the most sought after by the end of the world cup. For e.g. – De Andre Yedlin who has become the answer to every big clubs full-back needs.
7. FIFA IS ACTUALLY THE BOSS:
Pre-tournament and during the tournament for all the bad press- FIFA did not hold back in taking a harsh decision by imposing a fine on Argentina for breaching press conference regulations and also fined Luis Suarez as well as banned him for four months from football.
8. THE GERMANS HIT BULLS’ EYE:
The Germans instead of hitting on the most attractive manager in the market kept counting their cash. They attended to the grassroots of their game producing excellent footballers and a national team to be proud of.
