Like the previous year, this year too the Behance Portfolio Reviews Event was organized by Inspiria Knowledge Campus on November 8th, 2014 and was a huge success. Approximately 40 participants from North Bengal, Kolkata, Guwahati attended the program. Participants present on the event day consisted of photographers, painters, graphics designers, 3D artists, web developers and other creative people from the creative industry.

The key note speaker of this event was Mr. Dushyant Arora, Head-UX (User Xperience) Design, MakeMyTrip.com who came all the way from Delhi to attend the event and recruit for MakeMyTrip.com.

The event started with the introductory speech by Mr. Rakesh Mondal, Creative Head, Inspiria Knowledge Campus, who enlightened the audience about Behance and various aspects of design. Prof. Indrajit Chatterjee, Principal, Inspiria Knowledge Campus spoke about the college and career prospects. Mr. Arora shared his views on ‘UX Design’ along with various aspects of real life application followed by a presentation. People from the printing industry has also attend the programme for search of new talents.

The selection round started with the participants showcasing their work which was reviewed by the experts. Top four participants were selected amongst them, who got a chance to present their portfolio to the audience. In addition the program also had a performance by local musical band, ‘Bad Lads’.

The competition was competitive and tough which made it difficult for the judges to make a choice.The eventual winners were Mr. Manish Singh, Mr. Srijan Singh, Mr. Anil Gurung and Mr. Divendra Dewan from Kolkata in the gaming category; Ms. Nabina Roy from Siliguri was the 1st Runners-Up in 3D architecture modelling category and Mr. Divendra Dewan from Kolkata was the 2nd Runners-Up in 3D character modelling.

The winning team won themselves an Adobe Creative Cloud Licensed Software for 1 year worth of Rs. 55,000/- and Behance appreciation coin; while the 1st and 2nd Runners-Up got Behance appreciation coins & certificates.

Overall it was a fun event where everybody had something to learn and take away from the event. Inspiria Knowledge Campus on its part will try to keep encouraging young creative minds making them self-employable with events like these in the future as well.
