Don Bosco School school started in 1973 and was set up, keeping in mind the need at that point of time, for a school with proper facilities in Siliguri. Located at Sevoke Road, 2nd Mile, Siliguri, the school initially began with seven students and with the passage of time, the infrastructure developed and so did the quality of education along with the number of students.
The school kept up with the rising expectations and the requirements of time, with progressive results over the years in the board examinations, which continues to influence and live up to the image it has created as a premier institute even today. The institute is considered among the dominant forces of education for boys in the North-Eastern region of the nation, especially here in Siliguri.
The institute can boast of various achievements today and is proud to specialise students with an excellent set of staffs. The ex-students of the institution pass out as proud members of this family, who achieve greater heights of success and set great examples.
According to the Principal, the institute has standardised plans of futuristic development including digitisation of all classroom that would help in better communication processes and stay on track with the latest technological advancements of time so that the students can benefit from all that is available. “But more than all this, we feel that Don Bosco School must be a school that cares about the students that come in, cares for the underprivileged and that is what we would like to instil among our students”, says the Principal. Ex-students conduct life-aid programmes every Sunday, carrying forward the legacy of Don Bosco.
