EAC was a three days workshop organized by Inspiria Knowledge Campus in association with EDI, Ahmedabad which was sponsored by NSTEDB, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. This camp was conducted to generate awareness among students about ‘Entrepreneurship, Leadership & Communication – Skills’.
The first day of the camp was based on ‘LEADERSHIP – Skills’ which was conducted in two sessions. The first session was taken by Mr. Indrajit Chatterjee, Associate Professor & Program Co-ordinator – EAC which was enlighting and encouraging for the students attending the camp.
His session started with an introduction to SME. Defination, product and schemes under SME. He briefed about various Scheme and Udyog Aadhaar Policy. He shared his research and enlightened the crowd about the opportunities available in Indian market.
The second session of the day was lead by Mr. Arnab Sen Assistant Professor Inspiria Knowledge Campus where he highlighted on the other aspects of creativity and innovation in the area of MSME. He also depicted how grassroot level innovation can be nurtured by Govt. and private organizations in terms of financial support, thought guidence and direction.
Day 2 : The session began with Mr. Minj , Development Office DIC Siliguri West Bengal. His session was based on schemes and subsidy avilable under Small & Medium Scale Industry, Govt. Of West Bengal. He also explained the cluster of insustry and its benefits in the small scale sector.
Day 2- Second half of the session was taken by Mr. Oyshik Banerjee practicing Chartered Accountanat and consultant SMEs. He has enlightened in the area of technical & commercial aspect of SSI units. He also explained various financial ratio bank consider to issue loans.
The day ended with an Industry visit to Darjeeling Cement Factory, now producing Dalmia Brand Cement. Students visited production, quality control, raw-material yard and finisned good areas. The Production Manager and quality control executives accompanied students throught the visit. Finally there was a question and answering session. The program was concluded with refreshment at the factory.
The third and last day of EAC was based on ‘Communication Skill’ and Scheme assistance support from Govt. Agencies, Bank etc.
The first session was conducted by Dr. Anil Sam George on ‘Communication Skill’. He enlightened students with four ‘A’s of communication in business. He also delivered lectures on ‘Attitude in Communication’.
The second session of the day was delivered by Mr. Avik Agarwal & Amit Agrawal of Sri Raj Shyama Steel Company. They have shared their entrepreneurial journey and spoke about on how to start a new venture. They also covered startup business as a special case in India.
The third and last session of EAC was taken by Mr. S Mondal AGM , State Bank Of India on SME basic concept of entrepreneuship loan facility. Its misconceptions that bank does not give or want to give the loan to individuals. He presented the selection process of a potential banker.
EAC was successfully concluded by the Mr. Indrajit Chatterjee. A highly informative and awarding camp which enlightened the house with all the qualities and facilities required to be an entrepreneur.
