Mental health isn’t just a buzzword; it’s a vital part of every student’s academic journey. While we often talk about grades, deadlines, and career goals, we rarely discuss the pressure and emotional weight that come with them. At Inspiria, we understand that a thriving mind is just as important as a thriving report card.
In a time when stress, anxiety, and emotional fatigue impact students more than ever, creating safe spaces for reflection and discussion becomes a responsibility we proudly take on. With this in mind, Inspiria Knowledge Campus hosted “SWASTHYASHALA”, a Session on Mental Health Awareness, a thoughtful initiative to bring mental health into the spotlight.
What is Swasthashala and its Aim?
Swasthashala, a word taken from pathshala and swatha, which means health and a place of learning, making it together a dedicated awareness seminar organized by the Health Club in collaboration with Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd., held on 17th July 2025 at Seminar Hall 2, Inspiria Knowledge Campus.
It aimed to empower students, faculty, and staff with knowledge, support, and a safe space to discuss mental well-being, something that is often overlooked but crucial for personal and academic success. This session wasn’t just a talk show but a collective experience that brought everyone together to reflect, understand, and move forward with more empathy and awareness.
Sessions of Swasthala
A Warm Beginning
The session began on a formal and uplifting note with a warm welcome, setting the tone for an afternoon dedicated to meaningful dialogue and mental health awareness. The event was graced by the presence of the Head of Academics, whose support highlighted the institution’s enduring commitment to the emotional and psychological well-being of its student community. Also in attendance were the Heads of various departments of Inspiria Knowledge Campus, whose collective presence and encouragement reinforced the importance of addressing mental health as an institutional priority.
The involvement of distinguished faculty members further demonstrated a united academic effort to promote a nurturing and inclusive environment on campus. Their participation underscored the shared responsibility of educators in normalizing conversations around mental wellness. Above all, it was the active engagement of the student fraternity that infused the event with vibrancy and sincerity, signaling a progressive shift toward openness, empathy, and awareness in the academic culture.
The Heart of the Seminar – Dr. Twishampati Naskar
At the heart of SWASTHYASHALA was an engaging session by Dr. Twishampati Naskar, MBBS, MD (Psychiatry), MIPS, FIACAMH, a renowned psychiatrist known for his compassionate care and expertise in child and adolescent mental health.
With his deep understanding of psychological challenges faced by students, Dr. Naskar turned a lecture into a dialogue. He spoke about:
- Academic stress and anxiety
- Emotional burnout
- The importance of seeking help at the right time
What stood out was his ability to make everyone feel safe, seen, and heard. His practical advice, storytelling, and empathetic tone helped break down complex issues into relatable conversations.
A Gesture of Appreciation – Felicitation Ceremony
To honor Dr. Naskar’s invaluable contribution, a felicitation ceremony was held, where senior faculty members presented him with a Khada and a memento. This symbolic gesture was a heartfelt acknowledgment of his commitment to mental health advocacy and his gracious presence at the event.
An Open Dialogue – The Interactive Q&A
One of the most impactful parts of the seminar was the interactive Q&A session, where students and faculty had the opportunity to ask questions without fear of judgment. Concerns about managing emotional health, recognizing signs of burnout, and seeking therapy were openly discussed.
Dr. Naskar responded with clarity and compassion, emphasizing that Mental strength also means knowing when to ask for help. His answers reassured students that emotional challenges are not weaknesses, but natural parts of life that can be addressed with care and support.

Conclusion: Looking Ahead – Sustaining the Momentum
In a time where stress, anxiety, and emotional fatigue increasingly impact students across the globe, academic institutions have a profound responsibility to not only educate the mind but also to nurture the soul. Creating safe, inclusive, and supportive spaces is no longer an option; it is a necessity.
SWASTHYASHALA 2025 was not just an event; it was the beginning of something lasting. It reminded us that while grades and achievements matter, it’s just as important to take care of our minds and emotions.
What lies ahead is a promise to continue the dialogue, strengthen the support systems, and empower every student to thrive not just academically, but emotionally and mentally, because when we care for the mind, we uplift the whole person. Every voice matters, every feeling is valid, and every mind deserves to be heard.
“Let’s not just start the conversation! Let’s keep it alive, loud, and lasting.”
