JK Tyre Himalayan Drive 3 kicked off from City Centre here on Thursday 29th Jan. It is a national level TSD (Time, speed, distance) rally for cars organized by Just sports management PVT ltd in association with JK Tyres, the West Bengal tourism and GTA (Gorkha Territorial Administration) in the northeast region of West Bengal.
This 4 day rally event saw around 35 participants coming together to take up the challenge and battle it out through the extreme and toughest roads of the Himalayas to the lush green tea gardens and terrains of the dooars region.
The event was divided into four legs, the first being from Siliguri to Darjeeling, second from Darjeeling to Murti Tourist lodge, Lataguri, then to Cooch Bihar and finally back to Siliguri, covering a distance of almost 700km.
Our team represented by Mr Surendra Pradhan and Diwakar Pradhan took part in the thrilling rally on behalf of Inspiria Knowledge Campus.
The participants had to face outmost conditions of the off-road tracks of the mountains and broken muddy roads of the terrains that not only tested their driving skills but also how well they handled the brakes while climbing and descending through the region.
After the exhilarating 4 days, finally the rally ended here at inspiria which also happened to be the finishing point.
It was truly an unforgettable experience for our team who got a chance to be a part of such a spectacular rally that taught them new skills and technique of real- world driving that is so much different as compared to driving through the normal roads of the city.
