Inspiria organises an exclusive “Film Making” workshop for Media Science Students

An enriching session on Film Making was conducted on 4th April 2018 by Mr. Amit Sharan at Inspiria Knowledge Campus, Siliguri. Enthusiastic undergraduate Media Science students of the college attended the workshop to get an in-depth knowledge and learning about the art and science of making Films. The session convened from 9.30am onwards and continued till 11 am with various deliberations and interactions citing examples from movies directed in by-gone eras as well as contemporary times.

The primary objective of the workshop was to inculcate the concept and technology contributing towards Film Making and understanding the importance of visuals and story in preparing quality movies. The engrossing session witnessed great response from all the students present.

Mr. Amit Sharan is currently working as a Public Relations Officer (PRO) with National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC). Right from his childhood, he has been an avid filmmaker. He has earned exceptional excellence and pedigree as a Film Maker and few of his notable short films and documentaries have been recognized nationally and internationally and has received many prestigious awards. His short film “The Aryans of Ladakh” was screened in Jamshedpur International Film Festival on 25th April 2010, “Hawamithai” and “Window of Desire” were screened at Nehru Centre, London 2006. He is also a National award winner 2003 for the best promotional film in Non-Feature Film Category for the film “Ladakh: The Land of Mystery”
