CBSE Class 12 Board Exam postponement extended further as the authorizes declines to decide on fresh dates amid the global pandemic! As the Covid-19 cases soar even amid the nationwide lockdown, CBSE Board announces the further extension of class 12 Board exams.

According to the notice published on 1st April 2020, it’s been announced that no fresh dates for the exams have been agreed on so far. As COVID-19 catastrophe in India shows no hint of improvement, the authorities are reluctant to draft a fresh date sheet for the postponed class 12 CBSE board exams. As the lockdown continues, the situation turns even grim and unpredictable for the board examinees as well as for the education authorities.

At the initial buzz of nationwide lockdown, the CBSE Board had postponed Class 12 board examinations as a precautionary measure. The delaying of the CBSE Class 12 Board exams was confirmed via the Board’s PR notice published on 18th March 2020. The extension was enacted as per the instructions obtained from SchoolEducationandLiteracy, Secretary Bureau of Higher Education, Government of India. Prior to the out break , the class12 board examinations were decided to be held from 19thMarch 2020 to 31st March 2020.The said dates required an immediate rescheduling soto safe guard the health and well-being of the students and further curb the contamination of coronavirus amidst the students.

Now, in the wake of the worsening situation with the effect of COVID- 19 in India, the CBSE Board has yet again published an official announcement regarding the further delay of the class 12 exams. The official notice has notified that after thorough observation of the situation in India, it is hard for the board authorities to determine and declare a fresh date sheet and schedules for the class 12 board exams.

It is also notified that the board will hence take further decisions as per the extensive discussion with the higher education administrations. Any decision made would be enacted by focusing on every facet relevant to entrance examinations, admission dates, etc. The board has also instructed the holdup of evaluation work. The statement made at the board’s official website has made conscious that the board was unable to conduct the exams on scheduled 8 examination days. It has been notified to all the examinees that the board will administer examinations only for main subjects, which are mandatory or crucial for procuring admissions in higher educational institutions. In the related context, it is also declared that the board will provide notice of 10 days to all stakeholders before the commencement of the board exams.
