Every year, CBSE conducts board exams for class 10 and class 12 in the month of February-March. The class 12th board exam is crucial for the students as it opens up opportunities for higher learning and brighter career opportunities. Every year the board notifies regarding the important instructions and newly implemented strategies to the examinees, school, and the parents. This year, the CBSE board has declared that the board exams and evaluation will be done according to the CBSE syllabus rather than NCERT books.

#1. Start An Early Preparation.

Students appearing for the board exams should start their preparation at least six months before the examination. Cramming notes during the last minute isn’t going to help but add to stress and anxiety instead. Early preparation, on the other hand, makes you confident, ensures long term learning. It is the sole method of scoring well in board exams. So, never postpone your studies for the last minute.

It’s recommended to follow the prescribed board syllabus pattern for the preparation.

Preparing short notes is one of the effective methods to retain things easily. It helps in remembering the subject matter for a longer duration. If you think that you cannot memorize an entire chapter in a short time, consider making short notes. Short notes give the impression that the matter you are studying is easy. It thus helps you slay your fears and eventually, you will be able to memorize it in a short time.

#5. Write Down What You Read.

Studies have it that writing down the things on a paper helps you store the information on your brain for the longest time. So, while you are reading an important answer, write it down simultaneously. Doing so not just helps in storing the information on your brain but also helps you improve your writing speed and the quality of the handwriting.

#6. Solve Previous Years Questions and Practice Mock Test.

This is one of the effective methods to prepare for board exams. Many of us get nervous with the thought of writing the board exams. We get anxious worrying about questions, marks distributions, and patterns. Solving previous years’ questions helps you with your doubts. You can practice mock tests based on the previous year’s questions as this will help you get acquainted with the board exam question patterns.

#7. Don’t Neglect Your Text Books.

When it comes to board exams, the majority of us believe that devouring the notes and guidebooks will cater to the better score. It’s a good thing to find resources and gain knowledge from it. But, the board examinees commit the major blunder by neglecting the textbooks issued by the school. It is recommended to study the textbooks thoroughly as the questions on the board exams are drafted based on the subject syllabus.

#8. Do The Revision.

Revising is as important as studying. Once you finish studying a chapter make sure to revise after 2-3 days. It’s similar to updating what you have in your memory storage. It’s crucial for it helps you retain the studied information for the long term. Also, it is not easy to remember everything in a one-time reading. The revision also helps you identify what you have missed in the prior reading.

#9. Seek Help From Your Mentors.

Not everyone is born versatile and genius. Despite the bent and hard work in the chosen subjects, we might face certain difficulties. Because just having an interest in the subject does not make us a pro at it. We should work hard to ace at it. In the learning process, if you come across any sort of difficulty regarding your subject of study, never hesitate to seek help from your mentors.
