The other is SQ5R which is an abbreviation for Survey, Questions, Read, Record, Recite, Review and Reflect. They both work extremely well. Remember to take notes in the proper exercise book or a diary to prevent losing them.

8. Use visual reminders for easy memorization:

Another study tips for exams are the visual cues. Write down important historical dates, tit-bits of important information, formulae on a colorful chart paper. Stick them on your cupboards or walls where you can see them easily and frequently so that you can memorize them easily. 9. Review/Revise within 24-hours:

Don’t put up your revision for the weekend. Once you finish studying a new chapter and the syllabus that are uncovered in the last few days before the exam, then make sure you revise them within 24-hours. If you fail to do so, then you’re likely to forget 80% of the information that you’ve studied. I’m not saying it, Science tells so.

10. Get adequate sleep to strengthen your memory:

It is common staying awake till late in a prospect of finishing the revision or cramming the new chapters 2/3 days prior to the board exams. However, students need to keep in mind that sleep deprivation kills your memorizing capacities. Therefore, it is strictly recommended to get at least 7 hours of sleep. Better sleep boosts your memory in a healthy way due to which you will be able to remember everything while you’re sitting in the examination hall.
