Inspiria will have a very special guest on Sunday the 13th of September. He is none other than Indraneel Dasgupta an upcoming writer whose book ‘Another face in the Crowd’ has just been released. A versatile character, Indraneel was a successful entrepreneur who gave up everything to enroll in the Army, strongly influenced by the selfless sacrifices of the martyrs during the Kargil war. He also owned a leading medical institution and a restaurant, and dabbled in the automobile industry. became a financial analyst of repute and a columnist, and also a theater actor.
Writing is his latest fad and one must say he is quite talented as a writer. Writing, in his own words, “ is a lonely process, you spend hours nurturing your characters, smiling, crying and sniffling with your creations. But that’s cheese cake compared to what you have to face next…the publishing process. If you thought writing was creative, try finding a publisher for your creation, it’s positively an extremely negative experience. J.K. Rowling was rejected 12 times, ‘Gone with the wind’; by Margaret Mitchell 38 times before being finally published …just to name a few. These stories kept me going.” A face in the Crowd has received a good response and is available at all leading book store including the online mart Amazon.
Indraneel will interact with faculty members and students and everyone who has an interts in reading books at Inspiria on the 13th of this month. We are sure students would gain immensely from the session with him. We look forward to having you there. Session starts at 11 a.m.
