Inspiria introduces Inspiring Stories Series
This is the story of a unique man – a villager who opened an airline!
He was born in a village in Karnataka and never attended primary school. When he did join a Kannada medium school in class V, he attended classes barefoot. As a young man he joined the army and fought in a major war. After he left the army, he successfully established a sericulture farm, winning several awards for his entrepreneurship. Next he set up a motor bike dealership and also opened a hotel! In 1997 he began a helicopter charter service in India and in 2003 he established Air Deccan, the airline that re-wrote aviation history in India, pioneering the low-cost air travel concept. The name of the man is Captain Gopinath and his story is an inspiring saga of success.
It is sad that not many know about Capt. Gopinath’s amazing achievements. Such stories make one believe in oneself and brings back the confidence which we often tend to lose when confronted with the big, “bad” world! It is important to repeat such inspiring stories again and again.
We are happy to introduce Inspiria’s Inspiring stories from this Saturday, the 13th of June. The series will feature a free and frank interaction with rare achievers; young and old, people who dared to challenge the beaten track and come out with something out of the ordinary!
The objective of these talk series, organized by the Entrepreneurship Club of Inspiria, is to motivate students to get inspired and venture out on their own. It shall be on occasion to “Listen, Learn and Get inspired by someone who has been there and done it”. This initiative would be like planting a crop which can be richly harvested in the future by someone who aims high!
This Saturday we will be hosting Shreyans Bhandari, an entrepreneur with a difference and a successful author. His book “the Bird of the Arravalis’ has earned worldwide recognition. We are sure many of you reading this would love to talk to him. Please be present at our campus on Saturday. The programme starts at 11 a.m.For more details please visit our Event Page.
