What is Model United Nations?

Model United Nations is an academic simulation of the United Nations where students play the role of delegates from different countries and attempt to solve real-world issues with the policies and perspectives of their assigned country. These conferences are organized by universities, high schools, non-profit organizations, and other educational groups. In addition, Model United Nations provides an excellent opportunity for students to enhance their critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills. Furthermore, participating in Model United Nations can help students gain a better understanding of global issues and different cultures.

Model UN is a valuable experience that can help you get into college, find your first job, and become inspired to change the world.

Inspiria Model United Nations had 6 committees in total with assigned agendas for each to overcome.

Committee session 2 began at 3 P.M, with South Africa with the decided agenda being the economic crisis in Afghanistan, as a consequence of which the humanitarian crisis had emerged. The Delegates representing each country emphasized the fact that the markets are open, but the people do not have enough cash to purchase essentials, and also expressed concern regarding women being more likely to go to bed hungry than their male counterparts.

The second day of the conference was a political rollercoaster with each committee having fruitful debates and coming up with innovative solutions not only to their agenda but to various crises thrown their way.
